There are so many amazing buildings and structures circling the marina, from the swirling Helix Bridge to the iconic Merlion, that regardless of which way you’re facing you’re always going to get loads of good stuff in the background. On the OCBC Skyway at Gardens by the Bay
If you’ve got a head for heights, the OCBC Skyway at Gardens by the Bay is a fantastic place to snap a selfie. This bridge stands 22m above ground, putting you in the perfect position to get serene and simple gardens into the background alongside the futuristic and technological Supertrees for a quirky traditional-meets-modern feel. Although you need to buy an entry ticket to get into Gardens by the Bay and then pay a little extra to go on the Skywalk, the money is more than worth it. Just like at Marina Bay, you’ll get a totally different look depending on whether you visit during the day or at night, so choose carefully or go twice!
At the top of the Singapore Flyer
Get even better panoramic selfies by riding the Singapore Flyer, Asia’s largest giant observation wheel. When your pod reaches the top of the wheel, you’ll be standing 165m off the ground and thanks to the pods being made of glass and the painfully slow rate at which they move, you’ll have plenty of opportunities and time to snap the perfect selfie with the whole of Downtown Singapore and beyond behind you.
