Panhandle Forest Collaborative to meet in Sandpoint

PUBLIC LANDS -- The Panhandle Forest Collaborative , which brings together a spectrum of public interest groups to discuss national forest planning, has set a meeting for Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Bonner County Administration Building, 2nd Floor, 1500 Highway 2 in Sandpoint.

The group focuses on the Sandpoint and Priest Lake areas and portions of the Coeur d’Alene Ranger District. Collaborative goals include reducing litigation, promoting sustainable operations, enhancing travel and recreation opportunities, maintaining infrastructure for timber, ranching and recreation and conserving native ecosystems.
