This post was put up in advance, for I am currently cavorting with blue-footed boobies and giant tortoises on the Galapagos islands, moving around on a sailing ship.
So I will not be blogging, tweeting, phoning, or answering e-mail for a while. Just like the pre-internet, pre-mobile phone days. Sometimes it’s good to be forced to shut off all the electronics and get back to nature and nurture. This is one of those times.
If you have not gotten off the grid for a while, I strongly suggest trying it. If my past experience is any indication, you will come back to hundreds of e-mails and a few annoyed voice mail messages. A handful of those will really matter. Most are just noise. It’s good to turn off the noise sometimes so your brain can really think, absorb, and create without distraction. Most of the noise can wait.
