Calling all knife junkies and fans of a good, sharp blade! For the next four weeks, leading up to August 8th, we will be unveiling a series of promotions with Gerber and a substantial reader-submission contest (with a $5000 grand prize package!) in our new “Day of the Knife” celebration.
Today, we kick off the month-long program with the first giveaways, including five Gerber Venture knives (premium, assist-opening titanium units!) to be shipped out to five lucky readers. To enter, simply click the “Like” buttons atop the Day of the Knife site and you’ll be automatically entered into the drawing.
Then, scroll down slightly on the page and submit “Your Knife Story,” an open-ended call for reader tales about adventure and knives. The best true stories told by our readers will be highlighted on wordpress.com in late July, and that’s when the voting begins!
Our readers and your friends, families, and peers can read and then up-vote your story (if they see fit!) toward the top of the list. The person with the most votes on August 8th — the “Day of the Knife” — will win the $5000 gear package, including mucho swag from Gerber and other partner companies.
